10 Tips on How to Grow Your Online Avon Business Offline
- NAVIGATE– Direct people to your Avon eStore by including your Avon web store address on your business cards and back of Avon brochures. Make sure it is bold and easily visible – not in tiny print hidden in a lot of unnecessary wording.
- ENTICE – On the front or back of your Avon brochure, use a neon label that includes a current Avon coupon code or special. I like to use a label that says, ” FREE SHIPPING ON $40, FREE AVON BROCHURE AT CHECKOUT”. (Avon currently gives customers the option at checkout to receive a complimentary Avon brochure with their Direct Delivery order).
- DISTRIBUTE – Give out Avon catalogs and/or business cards everywhere you go!
- SNAIL-MAIL – Send a personally signed thank-you card to 1st-time customers who place an online order on your Avon eStore. Include 2 business cards (1 for them to keep & 1 to give to a friend), and a complimentary sample. Personal touch goes a long way!
- NETWORK & MINGLE – Find free or affordable local events to attend as a vendor. Keep it fun and simple – no product, a few Avon catalogs & samples, and a sign-up sheet to get names & emails to add in your Avon web office. Don’t forget to bring a BIG SMILE!
- NO-COST ADVERTISING – Does the church you attend, neighborhood HOA, or social club print manual directories that gives its members the chance to advertise their business for free? My church does. This is a great way to get the word out about your Avon business, and, also network with other business owners!
- BE A WALKING ADVERTISEMENT – Wear the product – Avon makeup, fragrance, fashion, etc. When you get complimented on it, proudly let them know where you got it from. Then, whip out your business card or Avon catalog with your Avon eStore address on it, and let them know where to shop online with you!
- ADVERTISE ON WHEELS – Get a car decal printed with your Avon eStore address highly visible.
- INTRODUCE YOURSELF – Order and wear an Avon name badge. When someone says, “hi”, and inquires about you being an Avon rep, introduce yourself as an Avon rep with an online store…and, you guessed it…give them a business card or Avon catalog with your eStore address on it!
- WORD OF MOUTH – Ask family and friends for referrals. Give them a few business cards and catalogs to pass on to their friends.
